HIIII! IT'S FINALLY SEPTEMBER

Got a secret, can you keep it? Swear this one you'll save...

The exact second it hits September 1st, summer is officially dead and everyone starts craving cozy mysteries, cloudy skies, oversized sweaters, and dark autumn aesthetics. And obviously, the absolute queen of September traditions is Pretty Little Liars. The second this month starts, it’s basically mandatory to think about Rosewood vibes.

There is something about that show. The leather jackets, the boots, and the characters walking around with a Starbucks cup under a gloomy sky (while literally dodging text messages from a psycho who put a note inside a tooth, drove a car through Emily's house, and left a message written in lipstick on Spencer's mirror)—that just screams September. Idk what it is, but it works every single time.

Ngl, I’m basically a chaotic mix of Spencer and Hanna. I have that Spencer Hastings energy when I get obsessed with thick books (and start investigating every tiny detail until I eventually look like a completely unhinged detective), but my inner Hanna Marin takes over the second I start dropping serious dollars on coffee, clothes, and random stuff I absolutely did not need.

It makes you wanna walk through a small town in a trench coat while drinking a pumpkin spice latte (and constantly checking over your shoulder to make sure "A" isn't watching from some random black hoodie, stealing Alison's remains from the cemetery, locking you inside a box with a dead body like the Halloween train, or trapping you inside a burning lodge like the season 3 finale).

Like... why was everyone in Rosewood so casually surviving this stuff while still showing up to school the next morning??

Starbucks and PLL traditions have completely rewired our brains, and honestly? I'm not complaining. There’s just something about September that makes everything feel a little more mysterious, dramatic, and unnecessarily complicated.

So yeah, bring on the drama, the creepy Radley Sanitarium secrets, the Red Coat mysteries, the suspicious texts, the endless coffee, and basically every terrible decision imaginable.

September has officially started.

...cuz two can keep a secret if one of them is dead.

  1. Ugh, I miss these types of shows and the vibes they had. I was obsessed with Spencer when I first watched it. Those first seasons are gold.
