honestly, it feels a bit weird out here today. the city is just super quiet and the weather matches the mood perfectly cuz it’s literally like 13°C and cloudy as hell. total gloomy vibe outside.
first we had the whole ghost world situation with mason lockwood coming back (and bonnie trying to fix the veil to the other side while she was literally burning sage and dealing with her witch ancestors), but then stefan went completely rogue and stole klaus’s family coffins just to blackmail him?? absolute madman. like, stefan is completely losing his humanity after klaus forced him to turn it off on that high school gym night, and i’m honestly so mad at him right now cuz he’s ruining everything (especially when he almost drove elena off the wickery bridge where her parents died just to scare klaus. that was WAY too dark).
and don’t even get me started on the mikaelson family reunion. klaus shattered my mind when he un-daggered elijah, rebekah, and the rest of his hybrid-making siblings, kol and finn (reunion of the century fr). it’s crazy how much power the originals have. then their crazy witch mom esther came back from the dead just to host a massive, fancy ball at their new mansion (but she was secretly plotting to link all her kids together with a white oak ash spell to kill them all, so yeah... the toxic family drama is unmatched).
elena looked so pretty in that gown while being stuck in a toxic love triangle between damon and stefan, which is a total mood, but the whole situation is just so stressful to watch (especially that porch scene where damon went full primal and told her he was mad cuz he cares about her). plus, elijah is back being a gentleman as always, which is honestly the best part ngl. and the whole drama with rebekah trying to ruin elena’s life is just too much, especially after klaus daggered rebekah again because she knew too much about their mother.
also, can we talk about klaus and caroline for a second?? (i don’t even know if they actually end up together so PLEASE don’t spoil me, but i’m totally sensing something there). that whole mikaelson ball scene completely changed how i see him. like, he’s this ruthless villain to everyone else, but the way he invited caroline, gave her that stunning blue dress, and told her she’s full of light while they were dancing? i was literally melting. and then when she was brutally honest with him and he left that gorgeous hand-drawn portrait of her with a horse on her bed thanking her for her honesty? omg. i low-key feel like he genuinely likes her and they could actually be amazing together, even if she’s still dealing with tyler being sired to him.
but omfg, the alaric and dr. meredith fell apartment situation was INSANE. alaric was recovering there after klaus literally ran him over with a car (classic klaus, just casually moving people out of his way), and while meredith was fast asleep, alaric went into the kitchen to take some pills for his headache. but then he starts snooping around her place and finds a hidden closet with sketchy medical files, secret weapons, and a folder with brian walters’ death certificate! and right at that second, dr. fell wakes up, catches him red-handed, and tells him, "you weren’t supposed to see that." she pulls out a gun and shoots him instantly!!
it happened so fast i literally closed my eyes cuz i was NOT expecting it at all lol.. and now the next thing i see is alaric waking up locked inside a literal jail cell at the station?? i am losing my mind.
